Bandipur Tiger Reserve



Bandipur has completed 50 years recently as a Project Tiger Reserve.


Situated among the districts of Mysore and Chamarajanagar in Karnataka.


It is a part of Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.


Kabini Reservoir separates the Bandipur and Nagarahole Tiger Reserve.


Project Tiger was launched in 1973 under the Indira Gandhi government at the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand.
