Kangra Tea



The European Commission granted a GI tag for Kangra tea.


Cultivated in Himachal Pradesh, one of the smallest tea regions in India, the region makes Kangra green and black tea which are exclusive.


They are hand-plucked and processed with traditional methods.


India is the second-largest producer of tea globally and also the world's top tea consuming countries.


Indian Assam, Darjeeling( Champagne of teas),and Nilgiri tea are considered among the best teas globally.


Tea Board of India, a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce that was set up in 1953 for the development of tea industry in India.


The board is headquartered at Kolkata and has two overseas offices.
