SBI Financial Inclusion metrics report



  • The State Bank of India (SBI) has released its Financial Inclusion Metrics report
     
  • Prepared by Cheif Economic Adviser of SBI group, Soumya Kanti Ghosh
     
  • Number of Bank branches per 100000 adults in India have increased to 14.7 in 2020 as compared to 13.6 in 2015
     
  • This number is higher as compared to Germany, China and South Africa
     
  • This increase was the result of  Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, digital infrastructure etc.
